Coherence Learning prides itself on being a different kind of help for students.
Inspired by teachers who have seen the "one size fits all" model of teaching, we work to understand the needs of each of our students, offering only small class instruction and multiple strategies for solving problems.
We help students with SAT and PSAT prep, AP classes, Academies of Loudoun and TJ admissions, and college essays. About 60% of students in our year-long Academies of Loudoun program are selected for the Academy of Science (AOS) or the Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET).
From late elementary to high school, flexible courses and time slots exist for students to focus, collaborate, and expand on concepts introduced and sometimes glossed over during normal school hours.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, our staff is equipped to have any child in the Northern Virginia area reach their full potential and get the most out of their schooling.
Our Goal
Any child who wants to excel should be allowed to. While some students are only 100 points from their target, other are 100s, and at Coherence Learning, we can bridge any gap in a test or close to give our students the success they deserve for the hard work they put in.
We want to give each of our students the opportunity to have options in their academic career, no academy or university's doors are closed to them.

Humanities Director
Dr. Kettler
Dr. Kettler leads our English and humanities program and brings more than 40 years of teaching experience. A former Professor of English who taught college composition and literature, Dr. Kettler also spent over a decade teaching reading, writing and PSAT/SAT prep. Dr. Kettler holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in Education from the University of Alabama.

Dr. Park
Dr. Park has taught math for 35 years, covering every course from Algebra 1 through Multivariable Calculus, and also teaches at Northern Virginia Community College (Annandale).

Aman A.
Aman has taught Physics, Chemistry, Calculus and SAT Math for 20 years. He founded Coherence Learning to help students build a strong foundation in each subject so they can perform their best.

Daniel K.
Daniel majored in Mathematics and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech and brings about 20 years of experience teaching Physics, Chemistry, Calculus and SAT Math. An engineer at heart, Daniel keeps exploring engineering and technology through hands-on computer-building projects.
AP Chemistry
Dr. Banerjee
Dr. Banerjee is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at George Mason University, where she has taught general and organic chemistry since 2020, after earlier teaching at Cal State University, East Bay. She earned a Ph.D. from the National Institute of Immunology (New Delhi), an M.S. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Hindu College, University of Delhi, and teaches our AP Chemistry classes.
